The University of Birmingham (informally Birmingham University) is a public research university located in Edgbaston, Birmingham, United Kingdom. It received its royal charter in 1900 as a successor to Queen's College, Birmingham (founded in 1825 as the Birmingham School of Medicine and Surgery), and Mason Science College (established in 1875 by Sir Josiah Mason), making it the first English civic or 'red brick' university to receive its own royal charter.

    • The module content is good, and mostly easy to follow. The use of the lectures being put online recorded is great for when I've missed a lecture or just want a recap. Seminars are pretty pointless and it may be due to the seminar lecturers, often they are rushed and hard to understand, there's barely any time for questions but the lectures themselves are mostly good and plenty of the lecturers are easy to talk to.

    • Majority of campus facilities are modern and up to date, there's an array of food venues ranging from Korean style food to simple burgers. The library is beautiful and there's more than one depending on your subject, with different levels for each level of quiet you need. The accommodation is decently priced and some of them are good quality but maintainence can be hard to get in contact with.

    • The facilities at the university are great, but the sense of support for student needs significant improvement.
