About this course
The Foundation Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering is a two-year, full-time course awarded by the University of Birmingham. The course is designed to provide students with a solid grounding in both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical and electronic engineering. Students will work on real-world projects using modern tools and facilities, exploring everything from circuit design to smart technologies. The course enables progression to the final year of the University of Birmingham's BEng programme in either Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics and Robotics.
Students completing the foundation year with a merit profile have guaranteed progression to the final year of a BEng (Hons) programme at the University of Birmingham upon successful completion
This course is suitable for students with an interest in careers in power systems, automation, telecommunications, robotics, aerospace, automotive, and general electronics industries
